STAPLE PIECE: CRISS x CROSS APPLESAUCE

We're about half way through October now and we've had the occasional "fall day" a few times now, but each time us Californians have this type of weather....I've taken full advantage, fashion wise. Since the weather is so hot and cold lately (see what I did there...lol), I've decided to selected a piece you can use no matter the weather conditions. Plus it's not an article of clothing, but a useful accessory. Mini Backpacks!!!

I've got two posts for you all today, each of which shares a fall inspired outfit featuring this Michael Kors mini backpack (got it on sale from Macy's about two weeks ago) that I've completely fallen in love with. There's a great layout of pockets inside, wide bottom, and multiple sections for ultimate organization...plus it's just really cute, I'm especially a fan of the color and stud details. In the following post you'll be able to see more close up shots of the backpack.

The rest of this post will show off another awesome fall find (also from Macy's), this dusty pink/mauve knit cardigan with a criss-cross feature down the back. Warm, comfy, and adorable...what more could you ask for in a fall sweater?!

This one came if four different colors (Artisan Wine, Black, Dusty Mauve, Rustic Olive) and all were equally stylish. I've been seriously contemplating going back to get the other three colors. They are on SALE right now for $34.99 - reg. $49.00 - so I should swoop while I have the chance!!! I would recommend those interested jump on the deal too!! The rest of the outfit is more simple and casual, definitely more towards a sporty style. One thing's for sure though, I was relaxed and comfortable, while the sweater did all the talking.
