COLOR BLAST | OCTOBER INSPIRATIONS

October is a mysterious month. The weather gets colder, nights grow longer, and the leaves change to bright oranges, yellows, and reds...it really is a magical time. For this month's color blast, my main inspiration was a reddish orange playing off the ideas and colors of Halloween, however I wanted to keep the scheme sophisticated so I added some neutrals and a navy.

OCTOBER COLOR SCHEME

I absolutely love this color scheme!!! It's fun yet elegant and can be used in a range of design styles from children's rooms to the color scheme for an entire house or even a business. Orange and blue is a great pairing all on it's own, but when combined with a mix of warm and cool neutrals the boldness of those accent colors move into center stage instead of competing with each other. Especially since orange and blue can get a little overwhelming together if used too much and the neutrals help break up those two strong colors.

Inspiration for this color scheme was not hard to find...anything from nature to weddings to room decor there's no question these colors can transcend almost any style. Here's just some examples I found while writing this post.

Orange is such a great accent to design with and is more versatile than many people think. Try playing around with different neutrals to pair this powerful color with and watch how it transforms with each color. I do believe you will be pleasantly surprised with just how many colors orange pairs with so effortlessly.
