COLOR BLAST | FEBRUARY INSPIRATIONS

Updated: Dec 12, 2018

Where all my Aquarius' at?!?! Woo it's my birthday month and I'm super excited to party with friends!!! For this month's color blast, I wanted to embrace that romantic atmosphere with a rosy red and pastel coral, but punched up the dynamics with a contrasting mix of black and white, along with a medium gray to hold the balance.

FEBRUARY COLOR SCHEME

I didn't want to get too wrapped up in the cliche reds, pinks, and purples ever present in Valentine's Day decor. Instead I paired a pinkish red with a coral, which has a little bit of an orange undertone to help modernize an otherwise traditional color scheme. The black, white, and gray grounds the two main colors and gives them a background to jump out against.

This would be the perfect color scheme to use textiles such as faux fur, velvet, and even chunky knits paired with bold gold metallic pieces or even mix metallic finishes using black and white furniture. Paint the walls in a gray, you could go with a lighter gray as well depending on your space's lighting, but then really play up the decor with reds and corals. You could even create a bold fashion look with this color palette. Scroll down to see some different ideas!

Hope this color scheme brought you some February inspiration.
